In 2007, the Sheriff's Office suffered two great losses as we laid to rest  Sgt. Joey Colquitt and Deputy Richard Jewell .Both of these men were loved and respected by their peers as well as the community that they served. Joey and Richard were taken from us unexpectedly but fortunately, we are left with memories that will last us a lifetime. God loaned us these fine men for a while, then He decided that they had completed their tour of duty....and He gave them rest... Unfortunately, on March 12, 2008 we lost yet another special person.
